Dr.Jart+ is one of the brands that stands out from the rest – not least because of their commitment to colourful packaging (no skincare lover’s shelfie is complete without it!) and formulas that feel tailor-made for sensitive skin.
Their most popular products include the very viral (and very green) colour correcting treatment – that will leave even the most flushed complexions miraculously even in seconds – and their beloved Ceramidin™ range that soothes and nourishes angry skin.
With the news that these K-Beauty icons would soon be at MECCA, we asked four team members at HQ to try a Dr.Jart+ product (or two) for one week and give us their review. Here’s what they told us…
Jordie tries the Cicapair™ Intensive Soothing Repair Serum and the Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment
No-one was more excited for the launch of Dr.Jart+ than our Skincare Education Cadet Jordie. They were especially interested in putting the Cicapair™ range (powered by a Centella asiatica complex that soothes and improves the appearance of redness) to the test.
“I used the Repair Serum morning and night,” they tell us, adding, “It had a gentle, cooling sensation that helped soothe my irritation, leaving my skin smooth and comfortable while minimising my redness.”
But it was the viral Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment – a hybrid skincare-colour corrector – that Jordie couldn’t stop raving about: “This cream is a game-changer! It effortlessly neutralised my redness and blended seamlessly into the skin.
“I love using it as a base for makeup, either on its own or under foundation – and it works wonders for spot-concealing blemishes. Highly recommend!”
Sonny tries the Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream
With skin that errs on the more sensitive side, our People Operations Manager, Sonny, was the perfect person to try this nourishing cream from the Ceramidin™ range.
The Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream has double the dose of Dr.Jart+’s signature ceramide blend, providing maximum hydration while also supporting barrier function to help lock in moisture long-term.
Sonny says the results speak for themselves and the moisturiser left her often thirsty skin quenched: “It has a cushiony texture that absorbed quickly into my skin. The hydration was long-lasting and left my skin so bouncy,”
When we asked if this will become a permanent fixture in her routine, she replied: “Yes, definitely!”
Ruby tries the Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Milky Lotion
IT Support Desk Analyst Ruby opted to try the lightweight gel from the Ceramidin™ range. She loved the way the moisturiser instantly sunk into her skin and how well it worked under her makeup, telling us: “My skin has been very well behaved since I started using it. It feels very dewy and my discolouration is looking less intense.”
Unsurprisingly, it’s “absolutely” a new staple in her daily routine.
Ben tries the Vital Hydra Solution™ Hydro Plump Water Cream
When we saw our Head of Commercial Finance, Ben, walk into the MECCA Studio after trying the Water Cream for a week – his smile beaming and sporting Dr.Jart+’s signature ‘glass skin’ glow – we knew this self-proclaimed “skincare newbie” was hooked.
This lightweight gel is full of hyaluronic acid and super hydrator Pentavin®, which work together to deeply replenish the skin and give you the juiciest, dewiest, plumpest complexion. Ben says he hadn’t tried a moisturiser with this texture before, but was pleasantly surprised: “It absorbed really quickly and left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth.”
“It’s my new daily moisturiser!” he added.
